The Audio Status is either Active (monitoring audio data and generating numbers), Inactive (not monitoring audio data), or Device Error. To correct device errors, verify that your sound card is the default recording device under Start... Settings... Control Panel... Sounds and Multimedia.
The Buffer Status displays the percent of the buffer memory currently used. Audio analysis automatically stops when this value reaches 100%, unless the Write to Disk option is checked, in which case audio analysis stops when the disk file has reached its maximum size.
The Data File Size displays the size of the RANDOM.DAT file after the last write.
